Our story is incredible!
If you have ever been a part of starting something from scratch and building it from the ground up, then you understand our excitement.
In June 1992 Phil and Delisa Toole moved their family to the Phoenix area to start a brand new church that would be designed specifically to reach the truly unchurched. A place where lives would be changed.
By the summer of ’93 the vision for Mountain Valley Church began to take shape as several families joined the vision to start a unique kind of church in the northeast valley of Phoenix. This “church for people who have given up on church” opened its doors on October 24th, 1993, with over 200 people in attendance.
The ensuing years saw a wide variety of meeting locations. From the YMCA to school auditoriums – Mountain Valley made it’s home wherever it could, in order to facilitate the growing numbers of people who were coming to hear the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.
Today we exist in the Perimeter Center Office Park. We enjoy hundreds of committed people eager to be a part of a thriving community. For many, it has become our spiritual home. We are thrilled to be a part of what is happening here and hope you will visit us!
